Objective
Create an app that serves as a digital recipe book that allowed it's users to directly input, store, and organize their own recipes & easily refer back or send to family and friends to follow as well.  The Potluck app came out of my own need for a place to collect and organize my family recipes as well as my own without having to jot them down on a piece of paper or rummage through a pile of them when I wanted to cook something.  After some throrough research, I couldn't find an app that focused specifically on directly inputting your own personal recipes and the capability of organizing them and those that did were aesthetically outdated or hard to navigate.

Approach
The goal for Potluck was to be as user friendly as possible so that those who may not be as tech savy could still easily navigate through it and still be fun and exciting for those that are.  It was also important to create features that set it apart from other similar apps. This is what lead to the step-by-step video feature which allows the user to not only input recipes via text, but upload/record a video of their desired steps, creating a video tutorial for the recipes.  This feature would also allow the user to add captions, or voice-overs to their videos along with other fun video features.
